Privacy policy

Who We Are

This policy covers CR Plumbing & Drains, a California plumbing contractor (CSLB license #1138178). “We”, “us” and “our” mean CR Plumbing & Drains. “You” means anyone who visits this website or contacts us through it.

It covers this website and the information you give us when you call, text us, or send us the form on this site.

Information We Collect

Information you give us

When you call or text us, we receive your phone number and whatever you choose to tell or send us, such as your address, what the problem is, or photos of it.

When you send the form on this site, we receive your name, phone number, city and what you write about the problem. Our website host, Netlify, receives the form and passes it to us, and keeps a copy of each one until we delete it. The form has a hidden field that real visitors leave empty, which is how it turns away automated spam. It stores nothing about you for that.

If you give us information about someone else, such as a tenant, a relative or the owner of the property, please make sure they are fine with you sharing it.

Information collected automatically

This website runs on a hosting company’s servers. When your browser loads a page, the host records standard technical details: your IP address, your browser and device type, the page you asked for, the page that sent you, and the date and time. We use these records only to run, fix and protect the site.

We do not use analytics tools, advertising pixels, session recording, call tracking, chat widgets or cookies. Every font, script, photo and video on this site is served from the site itself, so no other company receives your visit through it.

Photos and clips of our jobs

The photos and video clips on this site are from our own jobs. Where a customer's house number, a license plate or a face would show, we blur it before it goes on a page. If you see something in a photo that you think should be blurred, tell us and we will fix it.

What not to send us

Please do not send bank or card numbers, Social Security numbers, driver’s license numbers, passwords or health information by text or email. We do not need them to quote a plumbing job, and text and email are not fully secure.

Cookies

We do not set cookies and we do not store anything in your browser.

How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• answer your call, text or form;
• look at the problem, give you a price and schedule the work;
• do the job and follow up on it, including any return visit your job needs;
• keep records of quotes, contracts, permits, invoices and payments;
• follow the law, including tax, licensing and building rules;
• keep the site and our records safe, and stop fraud or misuse;
• bring or defend legal claims.

We do not use your information to make automated decisions about you, and we do not build profiles of you for advertising.

Who We Share It With

We share only what each of these needs:

• Companies that work for us, such as our website host (Netlify, which receives the form on this site) and our phone and email providers. We give them only what they need to provide that service.
• Suppliers who help with your job, such as parts suppliers, when they need your property address or job details.
• Payment and bookkeeping services, when you pay us and when we keep our accounts.
• Your city or county building department, when your job needs a permit or inspection.
• Your utility company, when work on your plumbing needs it.
• Your insurance company or adjuster, when you ask us to work with them on a claim.
• Courts, police and government agencies, when the law requires it, such as a subpoena or court order, or when we need to protect our rights, your safety or someone else’s.
• A buyer or successor, if our business is sold, merged or reorganized. Your information stays covered by this policy.

We share it with anyone else only when you ask us to or tell us it is fine.

We Do Not Sell Your Information

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, as California law uses those terms.

We do not give your information to other companies for their own marketing. California’s “Shine the Light” law (Civil Code section 1798.83) lets California residents ask us about such disclosures once a year, using the contact details below.

We do not offer discounts or other rewards in exchange for your information.

Calls, Texts And Email

When you contact us, we call or text you about your request and your job, including follow up after the job, such as asking how we did.

We will not send you marketing texts or emails unless you ask for them.

To stop texts, reply STOP. To stop calls, tell us by phone. We stop within 10 business days, except for messages about work you have already booked with us.

Your carrier’s message and data rates may apply.

Your Choices And Rights

You can ask us to:

• tell you what personal information we have about you, where it came from, why we have it and who we have shared it with;
• give you a copy of it;
• correct anything that is wrong;
• delete it;
• stop calling, texting or emailing you.

We honor these requests from anyone, wherever you live.

How to ask

Call (619) 806-6438. Tell us what you want and how to reach you.

To protect you, we check that the request comes from you by matching details we already have, such as your name, phone number and the address of the job. We ask only for what we need to check, and we use it only for that.

Someone you authorize, such as a relative or an attorney, can ask for you. We may ask for your signed permission and confirm the request with you directly.

What happens next

We confirm we got your request within 10 business days and answer within 45 days. If we need more time, we tell you why, and we take no more than 45 days more.

We may keep records the law requires us to keep, or that we need for follow-up work, a dispute or a legal claim, such as invoices and permits. If we keep anything, we tell you what and why.

Requests are free. We will never charge you more, give you worse service or treat you differently for making one. If a request is clearly unfounded or excessive, we may decline it, and we tell you why.

Do Not Track And Global Privacy Control

Some browsers send a “Do Not Track” signal or a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal. We do not track you across other websites, so these signals have nothing to switch off on our side. We treat a GPC signal as a request to opt out of the sale or sharing of your information, which we do not do in any case.

Children

This site is for adults arranging work on a property. It is not aimed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.

How Long We Keep It

We keep your information only as long as we need it for the reasons in this policy:

• if you ask for a price and do not hire us, as long as we need to answer you and follow up on it;
• if we do work for you, as long as California law requires us to keep contractor, tax and business records;
• host server records, for the period our host keeps them.

We delete your information when you ask, unless the law requires us to keep it, and we clear out old records we no longer need.

Keeping It Safe

This site uses HTTPS, which encrypts what you send through it. We let only the people working on your request or job see your information.

No website, email or phone system is completely secure, so we cannot promise that no one will ever get to your information without permission. If a security breach affects your personal information, we will notify you as California law requires.

Where Your Information Is Kept

We are based in California and handle your information in the United States. Some of the companies that work for us may process information in other countries under their own policies.

Other Websites, Reviews And Social Media

This site links to other websites: the Contractors State License Board, Google, Yelp, Instagram and TikTok. The logos in the footer, and the links on the home, reviews and contact pages, are plain links. The logos are drawn in the page itself, so this site does not load anything from those companies, and none of them learns of your visit from this site until you click through. Their privacy practices are their own, so please read their policies before you give them information.

Reviews on this site

The customer reviews on this site were written by customers on Google and Yelp, where anyone can read them. We quote parts of them, show the reviewer’s name as a first name and last initial (and the city, where Yelp shows one), and link to the originals. Where a review names a person, or says he, him or his, we replace those words with words in brackets, such as [CR Plumbing], and change nothing else. We do not collect reviews through this site.

If you wrote a review and want your quote or name taken off this site, tell us (see Contact Us below) and we will take it down. That does not remove your review from Google or Yelp, which you manage there.

Our social media pages

We have Instagram and TikTok pages. If you follow, like, comment on or message them, that company and we can both see it, and that company’s own policy covers what it does with it. This site has no social media buttons, plugins or ads.

Accessibility And Spanish

If you have a disability and need this policy in another format, call (619) 806-6438 and we will provide it.

Si necesita esta política en español, llámenos al (619) 806-6438.

Changes To This Policy

We may update this policy when our practices or the law change. When we do, we post the new version on this page and change the “Last updated” date at the top. If we make a significant change, we say so at the top of this page, and we do not apply it to information we already have from you without your consent where the law requires it.
