The larger jobs

Signs it is time

  • No hot water, or water that runs lukewarm
  • Water around the base of the tank
  • Rust-colored hot water
  • Popping or rumbling from the tank
  • Long waits for hot water at the far end of the house

How the job goes

  1. Repair or replace

A failed part can often be repaired. A tank that leaks has to be replaced. CR Plumbing tells you which you have.

  2. Choose the size

Tank size and type to fit your home or building and your budget, with options.

  3. The connections

The photos on this page show what comes with a replacement: the vent run, expansion tanks and the water and gas lines.

Good to know

Repair or replace?

A heater with a failed part can often be repaired. One that leaks from the tank itself has to be replaced.

What is a recirculation pump for?

It keeps hot water moving through the lines so it reaches the far fixtures sooner and less water runs down the drain while you wait.

Do you work on commercial heaters?

Yes. CR Plumbing installed a pair of 100 gallon commercial water heaters for an apartment complex of more than 40 units.
